Concrete Playground or safe and proven road for residents, shoppers and diners to park and access our small businesses? It's time to get loud with written words. The Village President and the unelected Downtown Design Review Commission Chairman still want a permanent plaza, but most residents do NOT.

Despite repeated and overwhelming resident rejection over almost three years time, this plaza is STILL being pushed as a solution to problems. What problems? Closure of our escape-slip-lane will prevent customers from getting into town to shop and dine. That's a problem. Closure will cause daily gridlock. That's a problem. closure will cause vehicles to back up to our train tracks, which sit only 200 ft away. That's A HUGE problem. Closure will turn Clarendon Hills into a ghost town, NOT a destination. That's a MASSIVE Problem.

Write to the board now and tell them we don't need these new problems. Tell them how vital the westbound escape-slip-lane and traffic triangle are to YOU. Without these critical elements, we can't get into and around town easily. What will it be?
