Petition updateStop the Plaza Plan in Clarendon Hills, ILCH Plaza plan based on FALSE Traffic Study conclusion

Did you know that the rushed and reckless plan to shut down part of CH's main traffic artery is based on a FALSE statement of the traffic study's conclusion? Our Village leadership and its website tells us that "there will be NO impact on traffic." That is NEVER stated nor concluded in the 2023 Traffic Study, which was only conducted for 8 total hrs on Thurs. July 13 & Sat. July 15th, 2023 - two mid-summer days where there was no school, no bus, no heavy commuter and no coffee traffic (Starbucks had already closed.)

We cannot let the Village shut down our traffic triangle and its traffic-relief turn lane based on a FALSE misleading statement. Without a comprehensive peak-time extended traffic analysis and a REAL conclusion from an independent source, this plan is rigged and reckless. On Monday June 16, the Village President will present results from the next "natural traffic experiment" that blocked off our triangle and turn lane for only one week in mid-May, 2025. The traffic firm has conducted this study for FREE - it has been stated by the Village that it was being done at no cost...who does traffic studies for FREE? It now appears it was done by our own Police Department. How would that be an independent traffic study? Be there to hear the "results." And know that it still is not comprehensive to use a single one-week "experiment" as the basis to shut down our main traffic artery for a tiny, lopsided cement plaza forever. NO Plaza is Needed or Warranted in Downtown CH.

Monday, June 16: 6:30 in CH Village Hall.

Wear any RED shirt to this meeting to show a united front against the Downtown Plaza in Clarendon Hills. Please. We must PACK Village Hall.

Stop the CH Plaza plan that has been built on completely FALSE traffic study statements. SHARE this Petition and this update with your neighbors.
