

Here at Compassion in Politics we are starting a new webinar series looking at what an informed collaborative and compassionate response should be to some of the big issues of our times. The ones which so often feel overwhelming and unsurmountable and which require more than ever the core values of Compassion in Politics.
We will start the series on Monday 21st October exploring the rise of the far right and what our role can be in helping provide a better narrative. From the riots this summer to the anti-Migrant rhetoric which is now so mainstream the influence of far-right ideology shapes our society and impacts us all. Cases of damage and desecration to Jewish property rose by 246% between January and June 2024, Anti Muslim Hate has more than tripled and the language used by some of our most senior politicians challenges the concept of progress made over the last few decades, and these statistics are just the tip of the Ice burg.
What then is our response to such activity and how do we counter this picture collaboratively and with impact?
