An urgent appeal has been made by Iris Koh regarding alleged irregularities in the recent Presidential Elections of Singapore, prompting a call for immediate investigation and corrective measures.
The police report, filed by Iris Koh, highlights critical concerns surrounding the eligibility of a candidate, Tharman, and the actions of the Elections Department, the Presidential Elections Committee, Editors of the Press and Police officer involved.
The issue was sparked by a proposed bill allowing the President and Ministers to engage in foreign appointments, a move allegedly conflicting with current constitutional provisions.
Now, before Parliament votes on the bill, she wants to highlight the list of wrong-doing committed by individuals in the entire process.
Most importantly, she urges Parliament to seriously consider the bill and says that “You cannot make right what is
wrong with a popular vote.”
