Hi Everyone,
Today, the "London Standard" newspaper has reported a worrying low rate of applications for the TfL "Discounts and Exemptions" scheme for Blackwall Tunnel and Silvertown Tunnel tolls, which launch on 7th April next. Just over 1,100 motorists have applied and there are probably many more people who are entitled to discounts or exemptions but have not yet applied.

That does not give you much time to take advantage of any available exemptions or discounts that you may be entitled to. Time is of the essence also to set up the "Auto Pay" facility which will give you a £1.50 discount to the Peak Toll price of £4.00, therefore paying £2.50 each way during peak hours.
I have attached the various links to the relevant TfL web pages that you should be reviewing before it's too late:

If you know someone who commutes through the Blackwall currently and may not be prepared for the 7th April tolls launch date, please make them aware of this information. Bring it up in conversation with neighbours and friends just to raise awareness. I would hate to think that drivers would be paying far more than they need to when the tolls launch!
Best regards,
Liam
