Morocco is preparing for the 2030 FIFA World Cup — but there are alarming plans to “clean the streets” by killing thousands of stray dogs and cats.

This cruel idea is not the solution. Instead, Morocco can:

 • Launch humane sterilization and vaccination programs,

 • Support shelters and adoptions,

 • Work with local NGOs and international animal rights groups.

The World Cup should represent unity and compassion, not cruelty.

We call on the Moroccan Government, municipalities, and FIFA to:

 1. Cancel all plans for killing strays.

 2. Adopt humane population control programs.

Let Morocco show the world it can host this event  with dignity and respect for all living beings instead of this nonsense and cruelty .
