Greetings Signatories of the ‘Stop the Maangamizi!’ Petition and other Supporters of the ‘Stop the Maangamizi!: We Charge Genocide/Ecocide Campaign (SMWeCGEC)

Happy New Year!

We wanted to update you on progress we have been making with the campaign. A lot has been happening here in the UK and internationally.

Firstly, we are co-organising a Bristol conversation on Race and Reparations taking place today in partnership with the Afrikan ConneXions Consortium, African Voices Forum, the Mayor of Bristol and Bristol City Council, (see here for further info).

This meeting is being convened in light of the forthcoming Bristol Council motion initiated by the Green Party seeking cross-party support for the SMWeCGEC demand for the establishment of the All-Party Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry for Truth & Reparatory Justice (APPCITARJ), as contained in the Stop The Maangamizi Petition.
