Greetings Supporter of the 'Stop the Maangamizi: We Charge Genocide/Ecocide' Campaign (SMWeCGEC) Please see the attached letter that was sent to UK Prime Minister Theresa May which accompanied the 2017 hand-in of the SMWeCGE Petition. We also wanted you to know that we handed in 9636 signatures accompanying the SMWeCGE Petition this year. The numbers are steadily rising but we do need more signatures and we are asking for your help in sharing the petition and encouraging other's in your network's to sign. Of course, we are not just relying on the petition and are increasingly engaging in direct lobbying of elected officials, however every signature still counts. The SMWeCGEC operates all year round so we must not let up in our agitation, power and movement-building from below to make the SMWeCGEC objectives become a reality.
