Hi folks,

As you know, we got the NatureScot data released into the public domain last month, and now Scotland's first minister Humza Yousaf has promised an investigation into the shocking numbers associated with the country's notorious wildlife licences.

It's good news of course, though it would have been better if the appalling scale of lethal control had never reached this alarming level in the first place. Was nobody monitoring the agency's activities?

That's why it's so important for citizens to scrutinize the data, and thanks to our campaign this is now possible.

Summer is giving way to autumn as I write this - the Swallows have already left us here in North Wales - and the days begin to grow shorter. A time for reflection.
