I've been delving deeper into the Scottish licence data and I'm sorry to say that it is horrifying.

NatureScot, the Scottish government's 'nature agency' is systematically facilitating the mass destruction of several species of red and amber listed gulls.
I'm sharing this information because I feel it is vitally important for the public to be aware of what is going on.
I'll be asking NatureScot to publish their licensing data in the same way that Natural England now does (thanks to our campaign), so that it is available for public scrutiny and discussion.
The sheer scale of the destruction is deeply shocking.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of more bad news but we must hold these government agencies to account - for the sake of our wildlife.
