Petition updateSTOP THE LEGALISED KILLING OF WILD BIRDS IN THE UKNatural England approves licences to kill Skylarks "for purposes of sport"

Hi folks,

The 2022 bird control licence data will be published soon - and I've been able to have a quick first look, please read my update HERE.

Unfortunately, as usual, it doesn't make great reading, but it is better that we are able to see it now - thanks to our campaign it's no longer hidden.

And this year, for the first time, it also includes complete falconry licence statistics - affecting several common species like corvids, gulls and doves - but which also reveal red-listed species such as Skylarks, not being shot, but licensed to be killed in the course of falconry - as Natural England puts it "for the purpose of sport" - something that doesn't sit well with me. Please read more info on my blog HERE.

The data is scheduled to be published on the government website soon, I'll let you know when it is.

Meanwhile, the campaign continues,

Best,
Jase
