Well I finally heard back from Natural England about the Cormorant licence 'reforms'.
I'm really quite frustrated and annoyed by their lacklustre response to our suggestions.

Natural England has acknowledged a decline in the Cormorant population but has rejected our plan to monitor the culling of these magnificent birds, in spite of our warning that illegal hunting might be a contributing factor to the downturn in the birds population.

I have now asked them to explain what measures they have in place to ensure strict compliance from those holding licences to shoot the birds.
They are getting back to me.

Sorry it's not better news this time, but rest assured the campaign goes on.
