Hi folks,
I think things are looking up a bit - we're definitely making progress.
The director of Natural England's wildlife licensing told me today that he shares my ambition to reduce the number of red listed licences they issue.
You can read my update HERE. Comments very welcome.
It may not sound like big news, but it's significant. An acknowledgement and agreement, not an excuse.
Moving forward, I'm told Natural England is 'reviewing evidence' on Herring Gull numbers ahead of next year's licences and planning a public announcement on the thorny issue of licences that enable the restaurant trade in Black-headed gull eggs.
Should all be interesting!
Meanwhile, take care and thanks as always for your support.
Best,
Jase
