Natural England's Stony Silence Over Raven Petition Speaks Volumes

A stony silence from Natural England.
In spite of my two requests for a statement, there has been a stony silence from Natural England, showing a shocking disregard for the 45,000+ concerned people who have signed the petition.
Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised. Their claim to be "helping to protect England’s nature and landscapes for people to enjoy" - is laughable when they are responsible for issuing licences to farmers allowing them to cull protected birds such as the raven, while their churlish silence in the face of public indignation suggests that they cannot defend their policy.
Certainly their blunt rudeness in refusing to even acknowledge the strong feelings expressed in our petition indicates a total lack of respect for the views of a great many people.
Natural England are an official government body and for them to ignore not one but two requests for a statement is beyond contemptible.
We demand and deserve a response. I've heard from so many people who have great doubts over the competence of Natural England, Scottish Natural Heritage and other bodies. Many of those getting in touch have their own stories to tell and there is a feeling among some that there needs to be an overhaul of these departments whose decisions directly impact on the future of our countryside.
Meanwhile Natural England ignore us.
Which is why it is so important to keep sharing the petition. We will reach a point where they will have to listen and respond.
Thanks again for all your support, it is appreciated.
Best,
Jase
