How Director Shannon Sims has kept his job job is beyond baffling. Failing to hit the target set for live release for 14 months (see the figures with this update) would get most fired.

San Antonio Animal Services Live Release for March was 81%. That marks 13 straight months of not reaching the city/shelter’s stated  goal of 90 percent LRR for ‘no kill’ status! They are failing miserably. This will be the 14th month in a row of missing the goal and this may be the worst month yet for their Live Release.

Urge City Mayor Ron Nirenberg on Instgram @ron_nirenberg to tell them in the strongest terms to do better: most US city shelters kill less than San Antonio @sanantonioacs under Shannon Sims.
