Terengganu City Council Accountable for the Shooting of Stray Dog Kopi ?!

On October 6, local witnesses reported that enforcement officers from the Terengganu City Council conducted a culling operation in the area, during which they shot and killed a stray dog named Kopi. Residents heard a loud gunshot and rushed outside, only to find Kopi lying in a pool of blood, crying out in pain before ultimately passing away.

My Forever Doggo stated that this heartbreaking tragedy underscores the necessity of advocating for stray dogs, especially as similar incidents have occurred before. Kopi was well-known on social media, with a video featuring her playing with a stray cat garnering over 185,000 views on TikTok.

“This is not city management; it is an unreasonable act of violence. Kopi did not deserve such treatment.”

We, the undersigned, demand that the Terengganu City Council take responsibility for this unjust act and review its policies regarding the treatment of stray dogs.
