The building has been delivered and it is not pretty.

The modular building has been delivered and it is huge! I knew it would significantly detract from the park's natural beauty, but the impact is much worse than I imagined.

But the building is here to stay. The best we can do now is ensure the Moonee Valley City Council make good on their promise to invest in the park and return the old kindergarten and play area to open space as soon as the old kindergarten is vacated in January 2025.

The council has promised to update the Master Plan, but we need to make sure the council budget for and complete the works in 2025 and not in the next decade. 

There are funds in the 2024/2025 budget to upgrade the walking track.  But more money needs to be allocated to plant lots and lots of trees, shrubs and grasses to minimize the visual impact of the building.

I appreciate your interest in my petition.  It is too late to stop the development but it's important to share and sign so that the VSBA and MVCC know that this project is flawed.
