Abbey was told this morning that his deportation would go ahead today as planned. He told the detention staff politely that he refused to go. Additionally, his solicitor was in touch by fax to the Home Office removals team putting various arguments to them about the real and present dangers that Abbey would face if sent back to Uganda. All that we know at this stage is that his deportation did not take place today.
