I can't say I am confident that Governor-elect Bruce Rauner is going to be a progressive regarding transportation projection in Illinois, but I can say that he has made his position on the Illiana Tollroad ambiguous enough that there still might be a chance we can stop it via his office. If we can get to 500 signatures I plan to petition him directly to withhold support for the project and let the State Legislature know they should withhold future support for the project.
