The CMAP board vote falls 2 votes short of super majority needed to remove Illiana Tollway from the Go To 2040 regional plan. The following day MPO voted to support Illiana despite protests from CMAP board, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, multiple planning and environmental organizations, and numerous community groups.
