As posted on the blog (see link below) only 102 more signatures are needed to reach 500. Although recent events at the CMAP meeting and MPO meeting were less than ideal (CMAP voted against it, but the MPO again voted for it) this doesn't mean opposition to the project should slow down. Now is the time to ramp up the protest and show that despite Gov. Pat Quinn's insistence this is a good idea it is really something that will ultimately hurt the state financially, provide little in the way of real economic sustainability, hurt the environment, and has no socially positive outcomes. Share the petition and get more support in stopping the Illiana Tollway.
