Many thanks to all for your support.
We are aware of so-called 'rival' petitions circulating in the area.
This is the one, true petition, organised by the Furnace Action Committee formed after the public meeting.
We are aware of criticism that we have been slow in getting our message and action points across to the public. This is not secrecy. This is simple logistics. We have been so busy setting up our initial plans that we have not had time to update our messages. We are trying to put this right. Members of the local community will know who we are - we are the local residents talking to you day and night; we are not commuter campaigners trying to inject political fuel into the debate.
You can now follow us on Twitter @FurnaceAction and on Facebook on https://www.facebook.com/groups/2065953490270651
Once again, thanks for your support - now let's get to 3000 signatures. We also have a hard copy petition circulating. This contains the same wording as this petition - beware of imitations!
:)
