Stand with Us for Florida’s Black Bears
On Sunday, May 4th, Floridians from across the state will come together in defense of one of our most iconic and treasured species, the Florida black bear. Join us for the Rally for the Florida Black Bears on the Northeast Lawn of Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
This rally is a critical moment to raise public awareness and mobilize collective action against the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) alarming proposal to reinstate a black bear trophy hunt.
You will hear from animal advocates who played pivotal roles in stopping the Florida black bear hunt in 2016. These leaders bring decades of combined experience in environmental law, wildlife biology, and grassroots activism. Their insights will empower you with knowledge, strategy, and the tools needed to protect Florida’s black bears.
