Our voices were heard, BUT the next step is critical! The School Board is reviewing Scenario 4, which keeps Flint Hill Elementary School together - including the attendance island. We must show strong, united support to make sure it stays that way.
Now is the time to use our collective voices — loud and clear — before other neighborhoods influence the outcome.
Here’s what to do now:
1. Comment on the FCPS Boundary Map
Go to https://www.fcpsboundaryreview.org/
Select Scenario 4 and leave a comment showing your support for keeping the Flint Hill Elementary School together - including the attendance island.
Be polite but firm — every positive comment matters. Use your own words to say something like:
The Flint Hill Elementary School community strongly supports scenario 4, which keeps our kids and community together. Please keep scenario 4 as final.
2. Email the School Board
Send a quick note to:
Seema Dixit (School Board Rep) — sdixit@fcps.edu
CC: Dana Stewart (our boundary rep) — fcpsboundarymadison1@gmail.com
Sample message:
I strongly support Scenario 4 to keep Flint Hill Elementary School’s community together. Please don’t divide our school — maintaining this connection supports our students and families.
3. Spread the Word
Tell your friends, neighbors, and classmates’ parents — we need as many voices as possible!
Share this message and encourage everyone to comment and email today!
The decision is coming soon - FINAL scenario development starts in November, and we want them to keep Scenario 4 as the final scenario!
The fight isn’t over — but together, we can win it. Let’s make sure the School Board hears from Flint Hill ES families NOW.
