In my own state of Washington, I have checked out the state requirements regarding child labor, they are well defined.  Also the Dept. of Labor and Industries works with the Dept. of Education to develop intern programs and possible credit for these child laborers.  I haven't found an actual example yet, but I am working on it.  I am still trying to find out if investigators make unannounced visitations to check on child workers and who in the state monitors migrant children and their sponsors.
