Dear supporters

We can breathe a little sigh of relief: The executions of Amir Hossein, Said and Mohammad, which were scheduled for yesterday, have been postponed. Thanks to you! Since yesterday, with your help, over 20,000 new supporters have joined us. Meanwhile, more than 600 of you have sent an email to Heiko Maas - and the number is growing!

Now we have to stay tuned! Postponed unfortunately does not mean lifted yet - and we know how unpredictable the Islamic regime in Iran is.

1. Share the Tweet or Video with petitioner Milad.

2. Write to Heiko Maas! There are almost 600 emails so far! poststelle@auswaertiges-amt.de

What happened the last days:

Due to the worldwide protests, appeals by human rights activists, social media as well as graffiti in Iranian cities and the Twitter tweet #اعدام_نکنید (translated: #NoExecution) the government was forced to back down yesterday. Now, instead of the executions, the sentence will be reviewed! Leading newspapers like the New York Times and Spiegel report about the worldwide protests.

More than 4 million times, within a few hours, the hashtag: #اعدام_نکنید was used on Twitter, making it the most-used Persian hashtag ever. The Twitter storm forced security officers of the Islamic Republic to temporarily slow down and in some cases even block the Internet.

And there' s more good news: The lawyers of the three will get access to their files!

Lawyer - Dr Babak Paknia - writes on Twitter on 15.07.2020 ) :

"Today we got the permission to see the files of #AmirHossein_Moradi, #Saeed_Tamjidi and #Mohammad_Rajabi. All the files were handed over to us. We have made an initial request under Article 477 and, after a thorough review, we will make a further request with more arguments. Wait for the executions to be lifted!"

Amir Hossein, Said and Mohammad have become the faces of the November 2019 movement, thanks to YOU. They stand for the many political prisoners in Iran who remain unheard.

The hashtag #اعدام_نکنید recalls the mass executions that took place in Iran about 30 years ago and in view of this fact this is a great success!
