Dear supporters,
There is a demonstration in Berlin against the decision of the Supreme Court, which has confirmed the death sentences of Amir Hossein Moradi, Said Tamjidi and Mohammad Rajabi (see update 26 June 2020).
- Place and time: Tuesday, 30.06.2020, at 16.00 pm in front of the Iranian Embassy in Berlin, Podbielskiallee 67, 14195 Berlin, U3- Podbielskiallee
- Organizer: Committee for the Support of Political Prisoners in Iran-Berlin e.V. and Association of Iranian Refugees in Berlin e.V.
Organizers' topic: <<Against the death sentences and for the freedom of all political prisoners in Iran! The economic and political situation in Iran is clearly worsening. After the mass protests of November 2019, the regime in Iran is trying to keep the situation under control with brutal methods by all means.
Some current examples: Three young men, Amir Hossein Moradi, Said Tamjidi and Mohammad Rajabi, who took part in November protests, were sentenced to death. The Chief Justice of Isfahan province also announced that eight other people (without names) have been sentenced to death for the same reason. He also added that anyone who dares to take to the streets to protest against the regime, as in October 2017 or November 2019, must expect the same death sentences...We condemn this inhuman policy of the Iranian regime, and call on freedom lovers to work for the lifting of the death sentences and the release of all political prisoners in Iran.>>
