But for real impact in Hackney, we need these numbers to reflect on the official Hackney Council petition too. That’s where real change and accountability happen.
Here’s why the Hackney petition matters ⬇️
📌 250 signatures → the Council must hold a neighbourhood debate
📌 500 signatures → officers must face questions in public
📌 750 signatures → the issue must be debated at a full Council meeting
🎯 We’ve already hit the first milestone of 250, but we want to reach at least 750 to trigger a full Council debate.
That means we need around 500 more signatures — in just 13 days!
🗓 The petition closes on 6 November 2025.
