So far, encrypted voice radio traffic on the Virginia STARS system remains primarily limited to Conservation Police (Game Wardens). Some calls by the Virginia State Police (Wytheville 1 and 2) were made encrypted, along with several other agencies.

We monitored the Whitetop Mountain STARS radio tower (#210) for most of October with a dedicated radio, logging system data for every transmission.
Over 1600 voice calls were made from 10/5 to 10/31, some data was lost due to windows updates.
