We are making our voices impossible to ignore!

Thanks to the incredible support of this community, our collective outrage over the government's early prison release scheme has reached a boiling point. Headlines across the country—from the BBC to national broadcasts—are shining a light on this dangerous policy.

Because of the massive public outcry, Prime Minister Andy Burnham and the government have already been forced to make concessions. We’ve seen sexual offenders excluded, and pressure is mounting to halt the release of high-profile violent offenders, including the killers of PC Andrew Harper.

But a partial pause is not enough.

The reality remains that dangerous criminals are still being fast-tracked out of their sentences and back into local communities just to clear out cells. Victims are being left in the dark, survivors are re-traumatised, and public safety is being heavily compromised.

We cannot stop now. We need to completely halt the early release scheme for all violent and serious offenders. Justice must be served in full.
