I want to thank everyone whose signed so far, and also give a shout out to everyone who has shared this petition with others. Also, I want to give a special thank you to the people who have made donations: You're awesome and you’re continued support is helping draw attention to this cause, and has helped us get several steps closer to our goal.

For those who haven't given donations yet, I would like to highlight that these donations go straight to promotional efforts for the petition. Even $1, or $5, can help us reach dozens of people. $10 can help up reach hundreds, and a $25 dollar donation can help us reach over 1,000 people!

But onto the point I want to make here today.

While the goal of this petition here is to get 10,000 signatures, we can achieve what we want right now, if we make the right moves, without ever having to reach that goal post. You might ask, "What else can I do besides sign?"

The answer is this: The petition itself is a calling card, a representation of the movement. You and hundreds of people like you feel that this cause is just and true.

However, as I’ve noted in the petition itself, we’re against the distribution of pornography to minors. But the laws to protect minors from pornography already exist. They are just not being enforced.

I’m going to give you the resources to further this cause with something more powerful than your signature- and that is your voice.

We are at an advantage in the respect that the laws that we want are already on the books, we just need to pressure Congress and the Department of Justice to enforce the laws that are currently written down.

I’m here to tell you that you-yourself can put pressure on the highest lawyer and politicians of the land.

If you type your address into this map, you can find out which congressman is in your district (the map will give you information on both your senators and your representatives, but just remember that congressional representatives are more responsive to their voter base than senators). They should also provide for you their contact information- a phone number and their website (the website usually contains their physical or email address if you want to write them a letter).

So please, if you think this cause is important, and you've taken the time out of your day to sign this petition; consider taking an extra step and phoning or e-mailing you're local representative. One phone call or letter can make all the difference!
