We need to keep the pressure on the council to either modify or cancel the GST. 

Please consider speaking at the council meeting tonight, Tuesday March 25th (or any of the upcoming Council Meetings)! Speak in support of canceling or modifying the GST. Even a short sentence or two will be helpful. 

We expect proponents of the planned GST to speak tonight and at all other council meetings until the council decides the fate of the GST.

If you decide to speak,  please call the city clerk's office at 703-385-7935 by 5PM to register to speak during the early comment period, but you can always just show up and speak at the second public comment period. If you are not comfortable speaking, please stand next to one or more of the  people who will speak to show solidarity. It is important that the council and, in particular, the residents who are watching the proceedings from home see that many people oppose the GST as currently designed.

Because of your efforts, we are very close to a council resolution on the GST.
