Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the developers, Newlands, have noted the strength of feeling about future possible destruction of the trees. Now the developer’s original plans have been stopped and new plans which should protect the trees are thought to be in the pipeline. Sincere thanks to everyone who signed this powerful petition.
