HELP SAVE OUR COMMUNITY!

Stop the greedy developers from destroying our peace and quiet forever!

An update on the status of the 220 Lake Promenade Development: the application has now been appealed by the developer and taken to the provincial Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT). This means it has taken the decision out of the City of Toronto's hands and given it over to what has typically been a developer-friendly tribunal.  We have to stop this!

We need as many residents as possible to submit a brief objection to this project. The reasons for objecting must be objective, based on good community planning guidelines and the Official Plan.

For example, they are asking to increase the density from the approved 1x density to 4.7x density which would overwhelm our community. There are no precedents in the city for this increase in density within a residential community that is NOT on a major thoroughfare. Lake Promenade is a 10-minute walk to Lake Shore Blvd and 40 minutes to Kipling Station, hardly a transit-friendly location.

Another objection can be that the City has NOT released an official report on this development which is expected in December, 2024 so this case management conference on Oct. 18, 2024, is premature.

Any residents interested in being part of the movement to STOP this development have until Oct. 8, 2024, to file a Participant Status Request to the OLT. Link here:

Case # OLT-24-000882 Conference Date: 2024/10/18
