Well, thank you all! Last week I emailed you to say it'd be great to get to 500 signatures.... and you delivered. We're currently at 866 and counting!
I've submitted the petition to South Norfolk Council, to be included in the review of the planning application at the next development management committee. I included one comment, which to me captured the sentiments of many of you:
"This building has been purposefully and wilfully neglected and it should not be permissible for the owner to gain in any way by this application. If he can't restore the current pub building he should sell it as it is to someone who can. South Norfolk Council needs to take strong and decisive actions to prevent the current owner from making these time wasting and deluded applications year after year after year."
I've left the petition running for the moment, and will update SNC with new totals before the meeting in early May. So if anyone you know has intended to sign, but not yet got around to it, please urge them to do so. It doesn't cost a penny, and they can make their voice heard.
Thanks again
Sheila
