On June 15, more than 300 community members packed City Hall to make their voices heard. That turnout demonstrated just how much this issue matters to Pittsburg residents. Let's come together once again and show that our community remains engaged and committed.

If you've been waiting for the right time to get involved, this is it.

There Is Hope
Today brought an important reminder that communities across the country are asking many of the same questions we are.

On July 14, New York became the first state in the nation to implement a temporary statewide moratorium on new large-scale data centers while it studies their impacts on energy, water, and local communities. (Reuters)

Regardless of where we live, this demonstrates that conversations about the impacts of large data centers are taking place nationwide. It also shows that community engagement can influence public policy.

We Need Your Help
As our movement grows, we're realizing we need additional expertise and connections.

Are you an attorney?

Or do you know an attorney who may be willing to volunteer time, answer questions, or provide a referral? We'd love to connect.

Do you have connections with environmental nonprofits or advocacy organizations?

If you know someone who works with an environmental organization—or can introduce us to one—we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to connect and share what's happening in Pittsburg.

Sometimes one introduction can make a meaningful difference.

We Need to Keep the Momentum Going
We'll be honest—we've noticed attendance at meetings and events has started to slow down.

That's understandable. Everyone has jobs, families, vacations, and busy schedules.

But meaningful community change rarely happens because of one meeting or one petition. It happens when people continue showing up, even after the initial excitement fades.

If you haven't attended recently, we'd love to see you on July 20.

Bring a friend.

Bring a neighbor.

Bring your family.

Every person in the room sends a message that our community is paying attention.

See You There
This movement has always been powered by residents—not professional organizers, not paid advocates, but neighbors who care about the future of Pittsburg.

Thank you for standing with us.

Let's continue showing up, speaking up, and working together.

We'll see you on Monday, July 20.

🧡 Rally: 5:30 PM outside City Hall
