Having lived in Naas, Co Kildare for my entire life, I hold this town dear to my heart. It's a community that thrives on its tranquility, natural beauty, and the camaraderie of its residents. However, the proposed data center development threatens to shatter the peace and charm that makes Naas so special.

The construction and operation of such a data center will bring along significant pollution. The noise from heavy machinery and ongoing operations will disrupt the serenity our residents enjoy. More distressingly, such a development will place immense strain on our local resources. The considerable electrical and water requirements of data centers could lead to shortages, directly impacting the daily lives of residents.

Beyond immediate environmental and infrastructural concerns, the long-term implications could be even more severe. Data centers are known to emit significant amounts of CO2, which would contribute adversely to our community's carbon footprint. Traffic congestion due to constant heavy vehicle movement is another issue that threatens the safety and quality of life in Naas.

Allowing this industrial development not only puts our environment at risk, but also sets a dangerous precedent for future projects that may further erode the character of our beloved town.
