Thanks to each and every one of you for taking the time to sign this petition. Some of you also left comments of support, and forwarded this petition to people in your network. We are deeply grateful for your support.

The BCTS has set May 31 as the deadline for feedback on this cut block, so the clock is really ticking!

A small committee of neighbours met tonight to discuss final plans for writing letters of response to BCTS. Each of us has our own focus in our individual letters but the common themes are the potential for land instability, the impact on our aquifer as well as overall watershed concerns, how logging in this cut block may negatively impact some peoples’ legal right to water use from Brookside Creek, and degradation of public recreation experiences in this area. In my letter, I will be discussing this petition as a demonstration of public opposition to BCTS’ plan to log in our watershed.

Please help us make our case as strong as possible by writing a letter to demonstrate your opposition to the logging of this watershed.
