Hi everyone,
Thank you again for signing the petition opposing the proposed third tower at Southport.
Over 1,600 people have signed, but only about 20 written submissions have been sent to Toronto and East York Community Council so far.
This is one of the most important opportunities to participate in the process. Petitions show public support, but written submissions become part of the official public record and are considered by Council when making its decision.
If you've already emailed Councillor Gord Perks or Cameron Chen, thank you, but that was a different part of the process.
To have your comments included in the official record, please also send them to:
TEYCC@toronto.ca
Please include Agenda Item TE34.50 in the subject line (or anywhere in your email).
I've attached a simple template that you can personalize, or you can simply write a few sentences about how this proposal would affect you.
Don't worry about getting every planning detail right; your personal perspective matters.
Right now, the number of submissions is important. A strong public response demonstrates to Council, City staff, and the media that this proposal is a significant community concern.
If you haven't submitted yet, please take a few minutes to do so today. Every submission helps.
