The annexation of 8902 Quail Rd is tied to a developer that builds market rate rental apartments exclusively.
This location in Longmont does not need another 310 rental apartments!
We need attainable homes for purchase!
Within a 1-mile radius of the 8902 Quail Rd annexation/proposed development there are 2,178 existing rental apartment units, 885 apartment units already approved/under construction, and another 567 being proposed (NOT including the Quail 310 or any apartments being proposed). A comparable rental apartment just built is 633 square ft. and starts at $2033/mo!
City Council will vote for the final time Tuesday Jan 28th. The meeting starts at 7pm and all city of Longmont residents are given an opportunity to speak for 3 min at the start of the meeting. Non-city residents can speak at the end.
Even if you don’t speak we really need your support. Please come to the meeting if you can. Power is in numbers.
