Australia Post has advised that it is still planning the closure of the Tuggerah Business Hub at Tuggerah. Their Management team have scheduled a community meeting for TOMORROW (Monday) to discuss its future.
This meeting has not been broadly advertised, other than a notice displayed inside the post office itself. As a result, many community members may be unaware that it is taking place unless they regularly attend the branch.
We have also been advised that Australia Post staff and media representatives are forbidden to attend this meeting. Information is expected to be provided about how services would operate if the branch were to close.
This branch is not simply a convenience — it provides services that are not available elsewhere on the Central Coast, including:
• Same-day processing for items lodged after 5:30pm
• Drive-up access
• Trolleys for larger lodgements
• Minimal or no queuing
• Accessibility for elderly customers and those with mobility limitations
• Essential services for both business and private customers
For those who value this service, attending the meeting is an important way to demonstrate community interest and engagement. A strong turnout helps show how widely this hub is relied upon and that local residents wish to be included in discussions about its future.
If you are able to attend, your presence will make a difference. Please also share this update with others who depend on this service.
Together, we can show them how important this business hub is to the Central Coast community.
