Question: Why is there a telephone call campaign underway to Senator Roger Niello?

Answer: It is an objection to the awarding of the state parks department grant to the city on the grounds we previously discussed;

…the City does not have the funds to maintain the project after it is completed, as the City Council admitted during budget deliberations! 

…and for the City to create a children's activity location within 1000 feet of a homeless shelter is a violation of Measure O!

What needs to happen?  We need to have as many calls into Senator Niello’s office as we can in order to make our voice heard!

“Please call Senator Roger Niello's office. The message you want to leave is that you object to the proposed State Parks Dept grant for Renfree Field. The reason you oppose the grant is that the City does not have the funds to maintain the project after it is completed, as the City Council admitted during budget deliberations. Senator Niello: We are objecting to the further implementation of this grant by state parks! Childrens play areas do not belong next to a homeless shelter! Don’t allow prop 68 funds to be spent on projects that are mixing addicts and crime with children’s play areas. Save Del Paso Park from the City’s Mismanagement NOW.
