Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for supporting this campaign so far. Your signatures, your messages, your turnout at the protest, it all matters, and it’s making a real impact. Because of you, we’ve already managed to get the land sale postponed and force conversations that were never meant to happen in public.

But we now have a major new development we urgently need your help with.

A second developer has now submitted an application for 49 more houses and 104 parking spaces at the Cardy, River Road.
When combined with the existing proposal, this takes us to:

449 homes - a 40% increase in the size of our village.
This would mean:

• The loss of all our remaining green spaces
• Wildlife habitats destroyed forever
• Traffic and congestion doubling in a village that’s already at breaking point
• More pressure on already overstretched GP services, roads and amenities
• Irreversible damage to the character and wellbeing of Carmyle

This affects every single household in the village not just the 19 people who received neighbour notification letters.

We cannot let this happen quietly.
We need more voices, more signatures, more pressure. Right now.

 OUR TARGET: 3,000 SIGNATURES BY THE END OF NOVEMBER
If everyone who has signed so far can:

• Ask everyone in their household to sign
• Share the petition in WhatsApp groups, family chats, workplaces, Facebook groups, anywhere at all
• Encourage friends who grew up in Carmyle or have family here to sign too
  …we’ll hit 3,000 signatures easily.

Every additional name strengthens our case when we meet councillors, MSPs, and Council officers over the coming weeks.
