As we fast approach 10,000 names on the petition, we have been hit by another body blow, this time from the Government's Petition Committee. The body has dismayed organisers this week by confirming that petitions like ours set up on campaign websites, will not now get an automatic viewing by a government department. Whilst extremely annoying, supporters need not fear, as we have creatively found a way around this ruling. The figure of 10,000 names has always been important as it gives our campaign a level of credibility moving forward that is essential. Please keep signing the petition, as the more names we have the stronger our case, when we present.
