Amid a chilling nuclear arms race in the Cold War, local documents dating back to September 1959 illustrate a study on the effects of a massive atomic bomb dropping on Senglea, in the Grand Harbour, with a northwesterly wind – the most common in Malta.

Yet nowadays the incompetent Maltese government and non-existent opposition who is probably in cahoots with the local contractors bidding for such a project are both working hard lining their pockets and building a cancer factory in Maghtab that will incinerate medical waste and all Malta's waste.

All smoke, smog and pollution blowing towards the majority of the citizens given the the most common wind is NW in Malta.

Will we continue to elect such grossly incompetent people!
