Petition updateStop the banks from profiting from your loved one's death
12,000 supporters - who shall we take this to for action?

I cannot believe the volume of fellow Aussies who have shared their experiences with me in the last two days. It is so deeply saddening.
Mums and dads, sons, sisters, uncles experiencing a loss followed up by unethical and unfair accrual of fees and interest whilst they await the probate that enables them to act.
There are many scenarios of family situations that can leave you unexpectedly dealing with a death. And with the numbers of traffic fatalities in Australia I'm sure that's a large contributor.
Pat Kramer kindly shared her experiences with me:
"After my sons death the banks continued to charge interest on his home mortgage even though I advised them of his death within one week. Interest was charged for a total of ten months amounting to many thousands of dollars. Greedy greedy banks"
We have to address this!
We've now hit 12,000 signatures I cannot believe it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all our family.
Now we must decide who to take this issue to; please let me know what you think? Our choices are:
1. Our Prime Minister, the hon Malcolm Turnbull MP
2. The hon Scott Morrison, Treasurer
3. The hon Mathias Cormann, Minister for Finance
4. The hon Kelly O'Dwyer, Minister for Revenue and Financial Services
Please let me know what you think by commenting in the petition or by emailing me.
Thank you
