Let Senator Lucas (D) know how much you appreciate her support by emailing and/or calling her office in Richmond. Senator Lucas has prevented the Senate from including a funding bill for the arena in their budget bill and has made it clear that she intends to prevent the proposed sports arena in Alexandria from receiving a $ 1.5 billion taxpayer subsidy. She has said that Virginia taxpayers should not the piggybank for a billionaire.

IN 1992 Alexandria citizens with the help of Mayor Patsy Ticer (D) and Congressman Jim Moran (D) defeated the Redskins stadium that then Gov Wilder wanted to located in Potomac Yard.
