- **Texas has already passed its own version**, SB 2420, which takes effect **January 1, 2026** — and it could apply to platforms beyond traditional app stores.

This legislation is moving fast — and it’s more expansive than many realize. We believe it needs **more time, more scrutiny, and more public input** before it reshapes how digital platforms operate.
