By underfunding and under monitoring group homes in Illinois, legislators have created an environment of abuse and neglect for people with disabilities. Illinois ranks #47 in funding for persons with developmental disabilities.  As a result, the level of care being provided is often substandard and dangerous.

This is not a political issue, this is an issue of providing adequate and care for our most vulnerable citizens.
