The warehouse developer who wants to build 7 more warehouses on Shaw area farmland and bring 2,000 trucks per day on to Shaw Road is attempting to buy your vote.  After losing at the State Supreme Court they have launched a disingenuous campaign funded with $55,000 to try to get Puyallup City Councilmembers elected that will green light this project.  They call themselves "Friends of Puyallup."  They are not our friends.

You may recall the developer and Mr. Knutson sent a city-wide mailer a while ago attempting to intimidate the Council to back off the City's effort to require an Environmental Impact Statement. They tried to smear the Council with misleading information about lawsuits (of course they did not tell us they were the warehouse proponents).  We can expect the same type of mailers, FB posts, and ads attempting to smear Mayor Palmer and other councilmembers that successfully won the case to require the EIS.

The "Friends of Puyallup" FB page funded with $55K of warehouse money is actively promoting Curtis Thiel in District 1, Paul Herrera in District 2, and Curt Gimmestad in District 3.

Voters need to know the facts and who is standing with the community and who is not.  "Friends of Puyallup" is a political action committee and you can see the $55K in warehouse donors on the Washington Public Disclosure Commission website.
